The Gaffer

1. Favourite memory of playing for Norsemen? Civil service away last season when we scored a winner. I had to be escorted from the pitch by Barry Ayers, as I explained to a civil player that the reason I was carrying a little timber was because his mrs feeds me biscuits every time I gave her one.

2. Best player and why?  Best player is a tough one being the gaffer as it’s like picking your favourite child. There all so good!!! My Ginger best mate will be gutted if I didn’t mention his efforts and his massive head.

3. Favourite club to play against?  HSBC is different gravy. Pitch is like a snooker table. I have fond memories of being a kid watching loved ones lift the AFA cup at this ground.

4. Best away trip for food? All of them, I love food!

5. Favourite old boy? Barry (the gent) Ayers or Ian (the legend) Charles.

6. What’s the best goal you have scored for Norsemen?  I know you’re not going to believe this but there have been lots. If I had to plum for one it would be away to AP. I caught the ball on my chest as it dropped and hit it with the outside of my boot. It sailed into the top corner from 20 yards.

7. Favourite Norsemen of all time? Pearo for asking me to help out with the 1’s and winning the league of course. Plus he can open a can of peas with his right boot.

He would be closely followed by Phil (action)Jackson because he works his bollocks off and loves all the players like their his own sons.

Then off course Graham Lewis who makes me die with laughter.

8. Worst moment for Norsemen? Being sent off against Winchmore Hill after my only ever penalty miss.

9. Favourite training memory? Training after our only defeat last year. That’s when you know what the lads are made of. Also just having a laugh with Phil when we watch Ballers play.

Only kidding Ballers you’re a hero in my eyes.

10. Best thing about being a Norsemen?  There are lots, but I would go with banter with your friends, spirit, macca’s dancing and Ballers stories.
